Thousands of fans and loved ones joined Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay on Monday night at a vigil for his late daughter Trinity Gay, who was shot to death on Sunday
Ceremony took place on Lexington, Kentucky Tyson Gay pleaded with attendees to help put an end to gun violence. He said to the crowd, “As parents we do our best to raise our child the best we can. And sometimes things just happen; it’s out of our control. We only can look up and ask God why. Sometimes we don’t get an answer. I just want people to be safe and understand that we all have a life, and we all have dreams and when your fellow peer has a dream, it’s our job as brothers and sisters to come together and protect each other.”
Morgan Gaines and Alexa Garner, were sitting in the front seat of Gaines’ car near a fast-food restaurant when she was shot in the neck around 4 a.m. on Sunday.
